Student Organizations for MHR Students
There are many student organizations that are targeted to students interested in Human Resources, Management, and Entrepreneurship. Below is a list of these organizations and a brief description. Get involved!
Sigma Iota Epsilon (SIE)
SIE is an honorary and professional management fraternity. Its purposes are to stimulate interest and scholarship within the discipline of management. SIE focuses on leadership, within both the organization and the community. This organization is highly active and won the 2004 Chapter of the Year Award.
Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM)
SHRM is a national human resource organization. Madison's student chapter of SHRM is an organization for both undergraduate and graduate students of all majors exploring or preparing to enter the field of Human Resource Management. SHRM maintains a fun and friendly environment for professional development and experience in HR through chapter activities, HR Competitions, and by locating internship and full-time job opportunities for members. The chapter facilitates relationships with HR Professionals and encourages students to socialize with other students interested in HR.
Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE)
The UW-Madison SIFE Team strives to improve the quality of life within our community and throughout the world by creating, transferring, and applying knowledge relevant to business where ever the need may exist.
Wisconsin Management Consulting Club (WMCC)
The Wisconsin Management Consulting Club (WMCC) is an organization dedicated to helping students understand the management consulting industry and get jobs in the management consulting industry.
UW Entrepreneurship Association
The UW Entrepreneurship Association is a student organization open to graduate and undergraduate students from all the schools in the University who are interested in entrepreneurship. This is a very active club which hosts 5 – 10 major events a semester.
Students Uniting Business & Engineering (SUBE)
SUBE is a student organization for undergraduate and graduate students at UW-Madison studying business or engineering disciplines. The club strives to broaden the visions of students in technology and business fields by facilitating relationships, providing cross-functional knowledge, and developing professional skills.
