A Commitment to Diversity

We continually look for ways to achieve ethnic, socioeconomic, geographic and other types of diversity among our students. Our goal is to provide a learning environment that enables graduates to be effective in the kind of world in which they will live and work.

Valuing Differences

Wisconsin has long had a leading role in diversity efforts among business schools. We are one of three founders of the Consortium for Graduate Study in Management, the country’s first equal opportunity graduate fellowship program for minorities. Each year, we enroll several MBA students on Consortium fellowships. Many of our Consortium students have gone on to play leading roles in business student organizations. Each fall, we offer a Diversity Weekend that brings prospective students from throughout the country to Madison to explore the Wisconsin MBA program.

Marjani Coffey“My classmates embody the true spirit of diversity. I have friends from all over the globe and from different walks of life. People make an effort to get to know each other’s backgrounds and customs. As a result, I’ve learned as much from my classmates, as I’ve learned from my professors.”
