Important Information for Spring 2008 Graduation
Ordering your Commencement Attire
Candidates should wear the academic cap, gown, and hood appropriate to the degree. Academic attire may be rented or purchased at the University Book Store, 711 State Street, (608)257-3784. Rental orders for 2008 Spring Commencement will be taken beginning early February and continuing through the end of March. Orders for caps, gowns and hoods should be made as early as possible. Candidates eligible for convocation honors will receive a letter from their deans concerning the wearing of the honors stole at the ceremony.
Rented caps, gowns, hoods and stoles should be returned to University Book Store personnel in the Kohl Center immediately following the ceremony or to the University Book Store, 711 State Street on the Monday following the ceremony.
May 2008 or August 2008 Graduates:
Commencement ceremonies for May and August graduates will be held at the Kohl Center on Saturday, May 17, 2008 at 2pm.
Graduation Brunch
The School of Business will host a graduation brunch on Saturday, May 17 at the Fluno Center from 10am-1pm prior to the commencement ceremonies. Details for this event will be available in your mail folders in the Graduate Lounge on April 1, 2008.

Transcripts
Degrees are posted on official transcripts approximately 4-6 weeks after the end of the semester. Due to the Family Rights and Privacy Act, transcripts cannot be requested by telephone. They can be ordered in person or by mail with the graduating student's signature. Call 262-6215 for more information.
Diploma
You will receive your diploma approximately four months after the end of the semester. Your name will appear on your diploma as it is recorded on your official records. Name changes must be filed at 21 N. Park Street. A diploma folder may be picked up at the information booth at 21 N. Park Street if you do not attend the graduation ceremony. Your diploma will be sent to your home address as listed on My UW. IIf you wish to have your diploma sent to an address outside the U.S., you must make arrangements in advance at the Registrar's Office, 21 N. Park St..

UPDATE magazine and invitations to regional and Homecoming events. You also
have access to the business school's Alumni Connections On-line Community -
an internet-based resource that includes an alumni directory, career center
and permanent e-mail forwarding. Please make sure your address is up to date
by calling, 1-800-442-6469 or updating your address online through the
business school's alumni website.
After graduation, you may update your address with the Alumni Records Office
by phone (1-800-442-6469) or by Email.
