- The Wisconsin MBA uses a self-managed, on-line application.
- Paper applications are not available.
- Complete and assemble the application package prior to the deadline for which you would like to be considered.
- A confirmation e-mail will be sent to you when your application is complete and ready to be reviewed by the Admissions Committee.
- The following items will make your application complete:
- an application
- resume
- essay
- GMAT
- TOEFL (international applicants only)
- transcripts from all institutions you attended
- 3 letters of recommendation
- application fee of $45
When mailing in supporting documents, please allow for appropriate mail delivery time to the MBA Program Office. We encourage you to submit your materials on-line when appropriate. Materials that are uploaded or submitted with the application will take 3-4 business days to process. Materials that are mailed and we have received the documents will take 6-7 business days to process.
Your application status can be view through ApplyYourself. We encourage you to self-monitor your status throughout the process and follow up appropriately. Please be patient and allow for the processing of your application materials in the timeframe listed above.
Decisions will be posted online through the application system. You will be notified by e-mail when your decision is available to view. Please keep your e-mail address current throughout the admissions process in order to receive timely communication from the MBA Program Office.
The online application also includes:
- Record of Residency Form (if you are claiming Wisconsin residency for tuition purposes)
- Merit-based Financial Assistance Form (if you are applying for a fellowship or assistantship).
Application fee
- The application fee is $45 for the full-time program for the academic year 2007-2008.
- Payment by credit or debit card is available through the online application system.
- Payment by check or money order should be made payable to the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Please be sure the name of the applicant appears on the check or money order. Mail with your other supporting materials to the MBA Program Office.
- Admissions decisions will not be communicated to the applicant until the application fee has been received.
