Ed BurgDatabase Marketing Manager

Ed joined the University of Wisconsin-Madison Executive Education department in January of 2009. Prior to this, he spent nearly 10 years as a manager of database and targeting at Valassis Direct Mail, Inc. (previously ADVO, Inc). There, his responsibilities included partnering with the sales force to construct and present print media proposals, supporting both regional and national retail accounts, and collaborating with national print placement agencies. He has also worked as a research analyst at the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel newspaper.


Ed’s qualifications include:

  • Strong communication and presentation skills developed from continuous interaction with clients
  • Extensive experience in the acquisition, analysis and utilization of consumer databases
