Program planning and advising with a faculty advisor is strongly recommended. The advisors can also help you to select a set of courses within the program’s options to best suit your personal interests. There are optional sequences and sets of courses, for example, to suit interests in advertising, marketing research, or product management. Marketing advisors’ names and office hours are available at the Marketing Department office (4166 Grainger Hall).

We also encourage you to talk with other students in the major, to recruiters, and to stay in touch with the marketing literature in The Wall Street Journal, Business Week, Fortune, Advertising Age, and Marketing News. All of these sources will help you make wise career choices.
