Additional Information:

Accessibility Guidelines

School of Business Web pages are subject to Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act (http://www.section508.gov). Keep in mind that pages that are accessible are often very search-engine friendly.

Site Editing

All Web sites will be edited using Macromedia Contribute beginning on September 1, 2006. Each Web site will receive one license for Macromedia Contribute through the School of Business. If more than one person will be editing the site, it is recommended that Contribute be installed on a workstation that is accessible to all authors for that site. Authors will receive informal training on how to use Contribute, but it is strongly recommended that units, centers and departments provide training for their Web authors through DoIT.

Author access privileges will be administered by the Webmaster.

Site Platform

The School of Business Web site is hosted on a Windows XP 2003 Server running Internet Information Services 6.0 with the .NET framework version 2.0. Database connectivity is available with Graingerdata, which is a SQL 2000 Database.
Any programming done on the School of Business site must be supervised and approved by the Webmaster and the Database Administrator.
New programming will not begin until it can be demonstrated that there is no suitable internal resource to accomplish the task.

Site Redesign and Approval

All major Web site redesigns will be reviewed by the Office of Marketing and Communications for adherence to the standards outlined in this document. Sites will not be published until standards are met.
