Logo Usage and Placement

The University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Business logo has an established safe zone. This safe zone is intended to maintain the logo’s integrity and to avoid visual confusion. No other type or graphic element (including folds, trims or edges) should fall within the safe zone shown.

The safe zone on all sides of all institutional logos is equal to the height of the type “School of Business” and “University of Wisconsin-Madison” which is shown below as “x”.

Placement

The logo should always be placed on the cover of a printed piece with the proper safe zone. It is preferred that it be placed in the upper left hand corner or the lower right hand corner.

Minimum sizes

Each of the University of Wisconsin–Madison institutional logos has a minimum allowable size. In order to ensure clear reproduction and legibility, the logos may not be used any smaller than 1 inch. See the example to the right.
