Undergraduate and Graduate Exchange

Thailand is unique among its neighbors in Southeast Asia.  It was never colonized.  In the local language, Thai means “land of the free”.  Bangkok was named the capital in 1782 by King Rama I.  It is called the City of Angels.  This lively city is centrally located in Thailand and it is divided by the Chao Phraya River.  With a population of about 8 million people, Bangkok is the main hub for commerce, education, and entertainment among others things.  Bangkok offers many historical attractions for visitors such as the Grand Palace where you can visit the Temple of the Emerald Buddha.  It is also well-known for vibrant nightlife, excellent dining, and traditional Thai massages.

The Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok, Thailand, is the country’s oldest institution of higher learning.  It was founded in 1917 and named after King Chulalongkorn, who was a strong advocate for education of all people.  Chulalongkorn University prides itself as a leader among Thailand’s higher educational institutions. Our partnership is with the Faculty of Commerce and Accountancy. This business school is one of the top five in Asia and highly regarded around the world.

Language and courses
All of the business courses are taught in English and are offered through the Faculty of Commerce and Accountancy.  There are some non-business courses offered in the Faculty of Commerce and Accountancy; however these courses have not been equated yet.  Courses outside of the Faculty of Commerce and Accountancy may not be taken.  Receive UW residence credits and grades.
