Sophia University
Fall: Early September to early February
Spring: Mid-March to End July
Undergraduate Affiliated Program
Tokyo is a city exemplifying the Japanese capability to uphold ancient traditions in the midst of a vibrant modern economy. The shrines and palaces are world famous as is the NIKKEI stock exchange. It is Japan’s capital and economic hub, where the old, elegant formality and new high-tech culture meld to create one of the most fascinating cities in the world.
Sophia University in Tokyo was founded almost 100 years ago by the Jesuits, and is now recognized as Japan’s leading university in the field of international relations and foreign studies. Today the university goals are supported by five pillars of emphasis: life-long education, human welfare, the global environment, international exchanges, and the cultivation of men and women who are fully trained to meet the challenges of the twenty-first century.
