Search Tips
The search utility encompasses the
information featured on the School of Business International
Programs web site. At its simplest, a query can be just a word or
a phrase, but with the tips on this page you can increase the
focus of your query to find more complete results:
-
To look for words with the same prefix use the
wildcard symbol of an asterisk. For example, in your query form
type op* to find operation, operations,
operative, operator, and so on.
-
Refine your queries with the AND NOT keywords to
exclude certain text from your search. For example, if you want
to find all instances of life insurance but not
health insurance, write the following query:
insurance AND life AND NOT health
- Add the OR keyword to find all instances
of either one word or another, for example:
management OR information
This query finds all pages that mention management or
information or both.
-
Put quotation marks around keywords if you want
the search utility to take them literally. For instance, if you
type the following query:
"travel abroad"
The search utility will literally look for the complete phrase
travel abroad.
