Our Students
The MBA in supply chain management is a small, highly selective career specialty program within the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Business.
The curriculum integrates the various business functions concerned with the movement of goods, services, and information along the value chain extending from suppliers to customers. This unique cross-functional and marketing-oriented approach is one of the differentiating factors of our program among schools in our peer group.
Another differentiating factor is how we select and admit students. Because ours is an applied program, we focus on several attributes, such as:
- Employability (relevant work experience, history of significant work accomplishments, upward career trajectory, and experience working in a team environment)
- Demonstrated passion for supply chain management
- Academic accomplishments
- Overall communication skills
- Ability to work well with others
Unlike other schools, the students who are admitted to the Grainger Center are all top-of-the-line candidates. Employers know their interview schedules will be full of high-quality students.
