Karl Braitberg leads two functions within the Customer Value Chain Management organization at Cisco: Demand Management & Planning and Customer Value Team Operations. His Demand Management & Planning team builds the demand plan for Cisco products, communicates that plan throughout the supply chain, and ensures that supply is available to meet demand with enough flexibility built into the supply chain to support demand variance.

The mission of Karl's Customer Value Team Operations group, formed in April 2009, is to ensure that Cisco's strategic customers receive an outstanding end-to-end operations experience. A focal point in the Customer Value Chain Management organization, this group facilitates cross-functional solutions that make it easier and more satisfying for customers to do business with Cisco.

Since joining Cisco in 2005, Karl has defined and created a world-class demand and supply planning organization and sustaining processes. A recognized authority in supply chain management, Karl came to Cisco with almost two decades of executive experience and proven expertise with companies that include Palm Inc., LSI Logic Corporation, Symbios Logic, and NCR Corporation. The innovations Karl has introduced while at Cisco are acknowledged by industry analysts as leading best practices and have led to operational and customer satisfaction improvements. His work on advanced forecasting and planning techniques has been featured in several key publications.

Karl holds a master’s degree in business administration and a bachelor of science degree in production and operations management from Colorado State University.
