Alumni Encouraged to Join Wisconsin Naming Gift Partnership

In the aftermath of the announcement of the Wisconsin Naming Gift, the business school has several initiatives underway to share the news with alumni and invite them to join the partnership.

One of the Wisconsin Naming partners has offered to match dollar for dollar every individual gift made to the Wisconsin School of Business Annual Fund from October 27 - December 31, 2007 up to a total of $1 million. The alumni relations team is making every effort to deliver the message about this campaign to alumni and friends of the school, encouraging them to make a gift before December 31.  Several special mailings are underway related to this effort. In addition, Dean Michael Knetter is hosting alumni events in key cities in New York, California, Illinois and Wisconsin.

Alumni Director Alisa Robertson reports that response to the gift has been overwhelmingly positive, with nearly one-quarter of the $1 million goal reached to date. “With all of the buzz around the gift, we feel now is the time to capture the energy and excitement among our many generous alumni,” she said.
