Upcoming Rays of Research Presentations
October 1, 2009Since summer 2008, faculty members at the Wisconsin School of Business have shared their research with members of the business school and campus communities in the Rays of Research Seminar Series.
This month, Professor François Ortalo-Magné, Robert E. Wangard Chair in Real Estate, will present “Housing for Smarties” on Oct. 6 between 3 and 4 p.m. in 1310 Grainger Hall. The lecture will discuss his research on the determinants of housing prices and transactions. Although the talk will cover his theoretical work and collection of novel data, Ortato-Magné says the talk will have, “ no math, no stats, just some helpful concepts and advice for you or your (friends’) next move.” A reception follow in the East Grainger Hall Atrium. The presentation will be posted on the web at

Earlier this semester, Professor Anne Miner, Ford Motor Company Distinguished Chair in Management and Human Resources, presented “Learning by New Organizations,” which focused on her research in organizational learning.
