June 1, 2009In May, Professor Steve Malpezzi, Real Estate and Urban Land Economics, presented the paper, “The Price Elasticity of Housing Supply in China”, to the Lincoln Institute conference on Housing Policy and Housing Markets in China, at Cambridge, Mass. He also gave a presentation on “Government Bailouts: Economic Recovery or Long Term Drag?” to industry fellows of the Homer Hoyt Institute in West Palm Beach. He gave the keynote address to the Connecticut Housing Conference on “The Crisis in U.S. Housing and Financial Markets” in Hartford, Conn.
Michael Enyart, senior academic librarian with the Business Library,
was honored with a 2009 Library Service Award from the UW-Madison General Library System. The awards are given to library staff campus wide for exemplary working relationships, contributing to establishing a welcoming learning and research environment, high productivity and achievements that positively influence library services. The awards were presented at a reception in May.
Kristina Engeseth is the new human resources assistant advanced in the business school’s Office of Human Resources. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in management and human Resources from UW-Madison in 2004. She formerly worked with the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics, as a staffing specialist in its Human Resource office. She most recently worked at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics and then Massachusetts General Hospital in each organization’s organ transplant department.
