The next deadline for the CIBER Applied Funds Program is Monday, June 1. CIBER typically covers airfare and in some cases registration costs for travel and conference presentation support. In order to be eligible for CIBER funding, an applicant must be presenting at the conference and must also engage in additional research and/or CIBER-related activities. Requests for the Applied Funds category should not exceed $2,000. 45th Annual Wisconsin International Trade Conference
The conference will take place Tuesday, May 12 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Italian Community Center, 631 East Chicago Street in Milwaukee. The conference will include sessions on: China, Compliance Due Diligence, India, Internet Strategies for International Business, and Dealing with the Global Downturn. Wisconsin international trade representatives from Brazil, Mexico, Europe, Canada, and China will be available for appointments. Breakfast Meeting with the Directors of Wisconsin’s International Trade Offices
The event will be held Friday, May 15 from 7:30 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. at the Madison Hilton Monona Terrace, 9 East Wilson Street in Madison. Attendees will hear first-hand about the market opportunities in Brazil, Canada, China, Europe, and Mexico. Discuss business practices and potential strategies for overcoming local challenges. Learn about available resources and network with other local companies and share export experiences.
