Students Win Operations Management Case Competition
February 27, 2009First-year MBA students in Operations and Technology Management, Joel Anacker, Ani Das, Brandon McGirr, Ankit Puri and Sreejith Satheez, joined by Applied Security Analysis student Chase Nicholson, won the APICS Case Competition held February 21-22. (APICS is The Association for Operations Management).
The competition, held in Oak Brook, Ill., had 28 university teams from across the Midwest participating. The competition involved reviewing a case on supply chain management and global strategy, preparing a report and a PowerPoint slide show and then presenting recommendations the following day in front of a team of judges. The winning team brought home $800 for the Madison APICS Chapter.
