Grainger Hall Hours

February 27, 2009

You may notice that the hours posted on the outside doors of Grainger Hall are different from the building’s locking hours. University Police are trying to have campus buildings post their “business hours” which means open to the public. Grainger Hall’s “business hours” are 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and closed Saturday and Sunday. This is to deter criminal activity that pose a threat to the UW campus community and will increase the ability of the University Police to take appropriate enforcement action to hold those people accountable for their behavior.

Below are the hours that the building is unlocked for faculty, staff, students and special events.

Spring and fall:
7 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday through Thursday
7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday
9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday
noon to 7 p.m. Sunday

Summer:
The same as fall and spring, except closed Saturday and Sunday.

Winter and spring break:
7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday
Closed Saturday and Sunday

Anyone with questions about building hours should contact Facility Manager Cheryl Schroud.
