Hollis (Holly) A. Skaife, associate professor in Accounting and Information Systems, has been appointed to the Standards Advisory Council (SAC) of the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB). The IASB is responsible for promulgating International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), which are the set of accounting standards permitted or required by more than 100 countries. The SAC is the formal advisory body to the IASB and is comprised of 30 individuals representing industry and profession organizations that have an interest in standard setting. Skaife was named to the council as the representative of the International Association for Accounting Education & Research and is the only academic on the SAC.

Jason Jankoski joins the school as assistant dean for human resources. Previously, he was human resource team leader with the Wisconsin Department of Health Services, in its Bureau of Human Resources. He has held HR positions with UW-Madison, in its Office of Human Resources and the Wisconsin Center for Education Research. He has a B.A. in Human Resource Management from UW-Eau Claire.

Rod Matthews, senior lecturer emeritus, Real Estate and Urban Land Economics, was named a visiting fellow and member of the advisory board, of the Center for Real Estate Law, Peking University Law School, Beijing, China.
