CIBER Grant and Faculty Development Opportunity
February 27, 2009The deadline for the CIBER Global Research/Curriculum Development Program – is April 1, 2009. CIBER awards up to a maximum of $7,500 for global research and curriculum development projects that further one or more of CIBER’s programmatic goals. CIBER will fund two Wisconsin School of Business faculty to attend a workshop on “Strategies for Teaching International Negotiation,” to be held at George Washington University June 2-6, 2009. Taught by Steve Weiss, associate professor of policy and international business at the Schulich School of Business, York University, and an expert in the field of international negotiations, this workshop is designed to introduce and reinforce key concepts and methods for teaching international negotiation to a university-level audience. CIBER will cover the $1,350 registration fee for each participant, which includes tuition and all materials, lodging, and most meals. CIBER will also provide an additional $250 per participant to defray travel costs.
