Information on Moves to the East Wing of Grainger Hall
July 1, 2008The opening of the east wing of Grainger Hall is just around the corner.
The move-in plan remains:
Moving to the 4th floor of the east wing – July 7
Moving to the 3rd floor of the east wing – July 8
Moving to the 2nd floor of the east wing – July 9
Carpet cleaning and painting of vacated spaces – week of July 14
Moves to the vacated spaces – beginning the week of July 21
Please remember that the east wing is not officially open yet, so even if access seems possible, please do not enter.
With the opening of the east wing of Grainger, access control points will be installed throughout the building. After-hours access to Grainger Hall, including the new main entrance at University and Park Street and from the parking garage (replacing keypad access) will require the new WISCARD. The card will also be needed for access to center suites, breakout rooms and computer labs.
All Wisconsin School of Business faculty and staff who wish to have after-hours access to Grainger Hall are encouraged to get their new WISCARD by July 7. It is not necessary to request permission for after-hours access or to wait until later in the summer to get the new cards, as some campus communications have indicated. To get the new WISCARD, go to Union South. Be sure to have a valid driver’s license, passport, state or federal ID with you. It is open Monday through Friday: 8 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.; Union South, 227 N. Randall Avenue, Phone: 608-262-3258, E-mail: wiscard_id@union.wisc.edu.
