Accounting Alumnus Top Performer on CMA Exam

Pete Wirtala, BBA ’06, earned the third-highest total score on the CMA (Certified Management Accountant) exam in a 12-month period from 2006 to 2007. According to the Institute of Management Accountants, which administers the four-part exam, Wirtala was a top performer out of the more than 4,500 candidates who completed all four parts. For this achievement, Wirtala received the Johnson & Johnson Bronze Medal.  Wirtala, a former Business  Scholar at  the Wisconsin School of Business, graduated with distinction with a degree in finance. He lives in Joplin, Mo., and is employed by Schrieber Foods, Inc.
