Alumni organization
Upon graduation, business school graduates automatically become members of the Wisconsin Business Alumni Association (WBA). For information on alumni, contact Alisa Robertson,
Director of Alumni Relations, 262-8777. The University of Wisconsin alumni organization is Wisconsin Alumni Association (WAA) and has an office on campus.
Audio Visual Equipment
For equipment reservations, please contact the Technology Support Center at 262-7757. The A / V area is located in room 1290 Grainger.
You must give 24-hour notice to reserve laptop computers, audio tape recorders, LCD screens, overhead projectors, video cameras, projectors, screens, slide projectors, and other equipment. For more information, please consult the "Audio / Visual" section of the Technology Support Center web site.

Beverage service
To arrange for beverage service at events in Grainger Hall, contact the School of Business Conference Services Department in Room 3259 Grainger at 262-8679 or use the online reservation form .
Bicycles, Bikes
Bike parking racks are available at University Avenue and Johnson Street entrances. Be sure to lock your bike. There is parking for motorized bikes and mopeds at the Brooks Street entrance to the school.
Break Room/Staff
Located on Room 3251, this lunch room-lounge has a refrigerator, microwave, and comfortable seating for lunch or breaks. The door is combination-locked and you can obtain the combination from your supervisor.

Building Hours
Grainger Hall is open to the public:
Monday through Thursday, 7 a.m. - 11 p.m.,
Fridays, 7 a.m. through 10 p.m.,

Summer hours may vary.
You may enter the building at any time if you have an authorized ID card. To request building access, please use the Building Access Request Form .

Business Information Center
A special service of the business school that links the Grainger Hall library to the business clients seeking to do research. Also referred to as the DEMCO or DERIP (DEMCO Entrepreneurial Research and Information Program Center).

Cars, Rental
The University's Car Fleet office telephone number is 262-1307 and is located at 10 N. Murray St. A Car Fleet request form must be completed and signed by a Dean.
Cleaning
Offices are cleaned in the evenings. For problems or to discuss service, contact

Coffee
Coffee is available by the cup in the vending machines or the deli located on the third floor. Some work areas have worked out special coffee arrangements.
Color copies
Excellent quality color copying is now available within the School of Business. A Xerox color copier has been added to the options offered by the Copy Center. Its primary purposes is to provide color copies to faculty and staff working in Grainger Hall and the Fluno Center. It is also available for use by other departments on campus.
Among its capabilities:
- runs many different weights of paper stocks, from 20# to 110#
- handles both coated and uncoated cover stock
- produces color transparencies.
For best reproduction quality, originals should be sent to Jim Scallon in the Copy Center in the form of PDFs (The PDFs can be either emailed to him as attachments or saved to a CD.)
Stop by the Copy Center to learn about pricing, paper choices, creating PDFs and to see samples of color copies. A demonstration of the color copier’s capabilities will be given in the Copy Center on August 19 at 2 p.m. Please email Jim Scallon, jscallon@bus.wisc.edu, if you plan to attend.

Commons
Master's students have a special commons room on the second floor. The undergraduate commons, located on the first floor, is also open to all students and staff.
Computer assistance
Computer technical support is provided through the Technology Support Center in room 4270 Grainger Hall. To request the repair of hardware or installation of software, you will need to submit a service request form .

Lockers in Grainger Hall
Undergraduate and Graduate Business Students
If you are interested in using a locker in Grainger Hall located on the 1st and 2nd floors, please contact Nancy Thompto at nthompto@bus.wisc.edu for a locker assignment.
Please include the following in your request:
- Name
- Business School Program, Major, and year (i.e. BBA Mgmt, senior)
- Desired semester(s) for use of the locker – Fall, Spring, Summer or full academic year
Nancy will get back to you via email with a locker assignment and the lock combination.
Beginning Fall 2007, there will be no rental fee for a locker, but you must register with Nancy to receive a locker assignment.
The lock on the locker is provided by the School of Business for your use with your locker assignment. If you choose to use your own lock, please bring the school-issued lock to Nancy in room 1263. You will be assessed a $10 fee if the school lock is not returned. The School of Business reserves the right to gain access to the locker if necessary.

The undergraduate lounge is located on first floor. The graduate student lounge is located in room 2250 Grainger and the employee lounge is located in room 3251 Grainger.

Parking permits

Daily reserved permits can be purchased by noon on the day prior to usage through Conference Services, Room 3259. Please call 263-9297. After the deadline of noon on the day prior, permits must be purchased in cash at the lot 7 booth.
Parking Availability
Parking can be requested through your supervisor or Dianne Rothwell in the Dean's office. Spaces are limited. People driving to work should consider using the Lake Street public parking ramp or the other lot at the corner of Lake and Johnson Streets.

Photography
Hiring of a photographer can be arranged through Lari Fanlund, Senior Editor, External Relations, Room 5151, 262-2401. External Relations also has a point-and-shoot camera available for business school use.
Phones
When calling within the State of Wisconsin exchange, you only need to dial the last five digits of a phone number beginning with 26. The same holds true for all numbers within the university and business school.

Each office has a recycling bin for office paper only. Bins for recycling glass, plastic, aluminum, newsprint, and glossy paper are located near the elevators on each floor.
Reporters (Responding to)

Faculty will generally talk to the media about their programs and areas of expertise and research. Deans are the school's designated media spokespersons on school policies and on any controversial issues.

Towed/ Towing
Cars will be towed for parking violations when the parking authority feels it is appropriate. Vehicles towed by UW Transportation are taken to Lot 60 in the overnight section. If the car has violations of over $50 and over 30 days due, it may be taken to Schmidts on 39 N. Park St. For information on a towed vehicle, contact Terri at 262-4524 days or UW police at 262-4524 after hours.
