Student Profile

Lisa Andrews
Executive MBA ‘04
Agency Field Executive
State Farm Insurance

“For me, the biggest benefit of the Executive MBA program has been the opportunity to bring back what I learn in the classroom to my work setting and, at the same time, to bring my work experience to bear on what I’m learning in the classroom. It’s so much more meaningful to have the opportunity to have theory and real-world application coincide and build upon each other. When we have classroom discussions about liability issues, I can bring the point of view of insurers to the discussion. Sometimes we’ll be debating accounting issues and a classmate can share his or her experiences working for an accounting firm.

I benefit tremendously from learning alongside other motivated, experienced executives. I know the network I’ve developed being in the Executive MBA program will be a tremendous resource for me long after graduation.”
