Admissions

Application Guidelines:

  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution. International applicants must possess the equivalent to a U.S. baccalaureate degree (please refer to the International degree equivalents described in the Fulltime MBA Program web site).
  • A target undergraduate grade point average of 3.00 (on a 4.00 scale).
  • A target of two years of full time, post-baccalaureate work experience.
  • A competitive score on the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT).
  • For non-native English speakers, a Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score of at least 600 (paper-based test) or 250 (computer-based test) is required.  A TOEFL waiver can be requested if you graduated from a U.S. university in a field other than engineering, technology, or science.
  • Also considered: personal achievements, motivation, leadership, diversity, industry representation, and international experience as demonstrated through resume, essays and letters of recommendation.

Computer literacy is a requirement of the Wisconsin Evening MBA program. Computer literacy may be gained through course work or through job-related computer experience. Demonstrated skills are required in word processing, spreadsheet analysis, and software presentation.  Computer proficiency is assessed based on resume and interview information.  The School of Business requires that all master’s students possess or have access to a personal computer. Recommended hardware and software specifications will be communicated upon admission to the program.
