Class of 2011

Rodrigo Barriuso

- OTM '11, BS Telecommunication Engineering

Rodrigo joins the OTM with a engineering degree in Telecommunications from the University of Cantabria (Spain) and five-years experience in the IT industry in Spain and Ireland. He also holds certifications in Oracle (COP), Microsoft (MCSE) and Cisco (CNCA).
In Spain Rodrigo worked for governmental agencies as an IT consultant specializing in Oracle databases. In that position, he provided advice, designed and maintained IT infrastructures and led team projects.
After a few years in Spain Rodrigo moved to Ireland to explore new markets. There he set up his own firm providing consulting services to several clients, among them international banks, optimizing and implementing solutions in Oracle and Linux technology.
Now in Wisconsin he wants to discover new challenges and reorient his career to consulting focusing on operations management and technology.

Eric Baum

- OTM '11, BS Mechanical Engineering

Eric joins the OTM team with a mechanical engineering degree from Michigan Technological University and experience across various industries including: pulp and paper conversion, fire and rescue equipment design, food processing, and utilities management. Recently, Eric piloted an energy-saving steam usage map and assessment for Pfizer’s Animal Health headquarters located in Kalamazoo, MI. Previously, Eric was an intern project engineer at Archer Daniels Midland’s Cedar Rapids, IA corn processing plant where he planned improvements to achieve EPA compliance and higher efficiency within the elevator and product load-out facilities. Eric has also contributed process and product improvements at Pierce Manufacturing and Thilmany Paper as an intern engineer.

Ted Farwell

- OTM '11, BA Philosophy

Ted enters the OTM program with 4 years of experience in the Pharmaceutical Industry. Ted worked in a variety of roles, but most recently as Director of Operations for TTC, llc, a Philadelphia firm specializing in the costs of international clinical trials and CRO outsourcing. While there, he worked with over 50 major Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology companies. He hopes to continue in the Pharmaceutical industry but is also interested in the alternative energy industry (especially solar), and the console gaming industry. Ted would also like to bring his enthusiasm of environmental ethics and social responsibility into his next job. Ted was a member of the US National Rowing team from 2006-2008, with a training schedule of 1000+ hours a year.

Brian Huckins

- OTM '11, BS Chemical Engineering

Brian enters the OTM program with an engineering degree from Michigan Technological University and six years of experience in Bio-Research and Pharmaceutical Development from working at Bio-Technical Resources. While at Bio-technical Resources Brian has worked on several successful projects in fermentation and product development. Most recently he led a multi-discipline team in the product development of a pro-biotic treatment from bench scale to commercial production. Additionally Brian has six years experience as a Civil Affairs officer in the US army Reserve, including two years in Iraq. During his first year in Iraq, Brian worked with the Northern Iraqi oil and electricity companies to restore services to several refineries and power plant, while in his second year he worked with the Baghdad Provincial Government to provide water and sewage services to areas out side the city. In both cases he overcame both the physical and mental challenges to lead over 100 successful projects and receive high commendations from the military.

Michael Huffer

- OTM '11, BS Industrial Engineering and Management Sciences

Michael joins the OTM program with a BS in Industrial Engineering from Northwestern University and 4 years of experience in process improvement implementation. Most recently, Michael has been working as a process engineer at Callaway Golf Company. There, he has been the driving force behind developing their Kaizen and Kaikaku deployment programs. He has received his Six Sigma Black Belt certificate and worked in lean transformation projects in manufacturing, warehousing, packaging, and product development. Outside of work, Michael is an avid golfer and runner, he completed his first full marathon this past May.

Adam Plunkett

- OTM '11, BS Biomedical Engineering and Economics

Adam enters the OTM program with a BS in Biomedical Engineering and a BA in Economics from Northwestern University, two and a half years at Epic Systems working in healthcare software, and a year interning in corporate sustainability. As a project manager at Epic, Adam led software implementations, managed small teams, and co-managed the operations of his division. One project in particular at Epic made Adam aware of the necessity of including sustainability in businesses, and recently he has shifted his focus to corporate sustainability, and environmental management. In his last position, he authored a sustainability report for a coffee roasting company that set out a plan to make the business more sustainable.

Kirk Spencer

- OTM '11, BS Atmospheric & Oceanic Sciences/Spanish

Kirk Spencer joins the Erdman Center with a bachelor’s degree in Meteorology and Spanish from the University of Wisconsin. Since graduating in 2000 he has worked for a firm that provides computer systems and weather data to broadcasters, newspapers and other industries that require critical weather information. His work included managing a team of implementation and training specialists where he planned and executed installation projects worldwide. Recently Kirk has focused on project management to streamlining various parts of the operation including SAAS and and on premise technology integration.
Whether in his professional or personal life, Kirk enjoys coaching others. He captains an ultimate Frisbee team and teaches friends and family to water ski and downhill ski. He is also a regular volunteer and leader at his church. Kirk spends his free time with his family and on various remodeling projects on his house, as well as traveling domestically and abroad. He has traveled throughout North America, Europe, and Latin America on business, mission and leisure trips.

Joel Anacker

- OTM '10, BS Political Science

Joel comes to the OTM program with his Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from the University of Wisconsin - Madison and over 10 years of experience. He has worked in IT management for a variety of industries including Higher Education, Pharmaceutical and Consulting. He worked for PPD, a contract research organization, in a number of technical and management roles including the systems manager for their Madison location and IT operations manager for their Minneapolis site. Most recently he has been running his own consulting business focusing on the Infrastructure and Messaging needs of medium to large organizations.

Aniruddha Das

- OTM '10, BE Electronics Engineering

Aniruddha joins the OTM Program with a bachelor's degree in Engineering from the Nagpur University, Nagpur, India, a Six Sigma Greenbelt from TATA Consultancy Services (TCS), Calcutta, India, and more than 7.5 years of experience in the IT and business consulting industry. In his most recent position, Aniruddha was the project leader for multiple projects for GE Healthcare. In that role he was responsible for various IT applications, processes and systems. He was also the six sigma leader for his team in TCS where he was responsible for training and six sigma GB certification of his team. Aniruddha was also actively involved in various sustainability programs of TCS.

Brandon McGirr

- OTM '10, BS Computer Science

Brandon enters the OTM program with a engineering degree from the University of Notre Dame and two years in the health care software industry from working at Epic Systems Corporation. While at Epic, Brandon was a software developer specializing in the company's pharmacy system. In that position, he led small groups of people on numerous development projects, interacted directly with customers and vendors to decide which projects to undertake next, and worked with the company's recent international ventures. Brandon also shares a love for the theatre, and while at Epic was not only involved in numerous community productions but also co-founded a theatre company at Epic called Epic Theatre. Recently, Brandon has focused his career on operations management, project development, and working to unite all areas of a company, from IT to sales to the production team.

Ankit Puri

- OTM '10, BE Electronics And Communications Engineering

Ankit joins the OTM team with an undergraduate degree in electronics and communications engineering and five years of experience in the dynamic telecommunications industry. In his most recent position, Ankit was Senior Engineer- Network Consulting for Ericsson, a world-leading provider of telecommunications equipment and related services to mobile and fixed network operators globally. In that position, he was managing the planning and optimization of mobile networks for one of the biggest mobile service operators in India. In addition he was managing the client relationship and leading a team of twelve engineers looking after the day to day operations.

Sreejith Satheez

- OTM '10, Bachelor of Computer Engineering

Sreejith Satheez joins the OTM Program with an engineering degree in Information Technology and 5 years of experience in the IT consulting industry. Sreejith worked for Tata Consultancy Services Ltd, India's largest IT consulting company and in his most recent position, worked as a consultant for GE Healthcare. He worked as a Business Analyst and Platform Architect for their global CRM platform. In that position, he was based out of Milwaukee WI, and was involved in translating the business needs into technical requirements and managed the implementation of the same. He is Six-Sigma green belt certified and is a Siebel certified consultant.
