M. Keith Weikel Enterprise MBA Programs Speaker Series

About this Event:

In the wake of recent business scandals, economic challenges, accusations and recriminations, one cannot help but question,"What were they thinking?" With hindsight it is easy to analyze the loans made to unqualified applicants or review the lavish rewards executives granted themselves prior
to their companies' government funded bailouts. We think we would not make the decisions that resulted in the current economic conditions.

But hindsight is 20/20. What can we do ahead of time to ensure that we ourselves will make the right ethical choice? What can we do today, before we find ourselves in the tough situations? In this talk, we will address current events such as those above, as well as the role or responsibility of ethical leaders in shaping such events. It is crucial to learn how each of us as business leaders should think about ethical decisions, as well as how we should structure and approach such decisions.

Jeffrey L. Seglin writes "The Right Thing," a weekly column on general ethics syndicated by the New York Times Syndicate.
