Keith R. Lobo

Keith Lobo is an experienced entrepreneur/investor who spent the first 21 years of his career helping build and run technology companies in the Semiconductor Industry, followed by 7 years in Venture Capital principally with the Fremont Group in San Francisco. As an operating executive he has been directly involved in three successful startups, two IPOs, executed five M&A related deals, and successfully defended a hostile tender.
Prior to becoming an investor, Lobo was president & CEO of Quickturn Design Systems, a technology startup backed by the premier VC firm Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers. Lobo took Quickturn public with Morgan Stanley in 1993, built it into a multi-hundred million-dollar business, and merged it with Cadence in 1999-2000. Previously, he served for four years as COO at Chips & Technologies Inc, (which merged with Intel), and for seven years at LSI Logic where he was also a member of the startup team and rose to the level of VP/GM of the Advanced Products group. His personal investing and board-level experience includes over a dozen technology related companies, which have resulted so far in three IPOs and five acquisitions. He has been an invited speaker at the World Economic Forum in Davos Switzerland, and at the Harvard Business School.
Lobo is an active investor, advisor to private equity regarding technology investments, and serves on industry and university boards. He also assists young entrepreneurs with launching their companies. Lobo lives in Pebble Beach, Cali. With his wife and daughter.
