HIRING WISCONSIN MBAs

Wisconsin is the school of choice for MBA students with a clear career objective. In our full-time MBA program, students develop the focused business skills needed to be a top competitor in today’s business environment.

This isn’t a one-size-fits all MBA program.  Its uniquely structured, offering a focused approach to specialized business disciplines The program is designed around career specializations —as opposed to more general academic majors —giving our graduates greater expertise and more value to the firms that employ them.

Our  nationally ranked program combines the benefits of a large university with the tailored resources and individualized attention of  a career specializations. Students in the two-year program learn from outstanding faculty members through a combination of case study and applied learning. The first year of study is spent developing a strong business foundation.  The second year focuses on course work in the career specialization and applied projects, many provided by our corporate partners.

We work hard to recruit students with clear career goals in specialized fields. For employers, this means you have the opportunity to hire students who have an average of more than four years of work experience and who have known their intended career path throughout their MBA program. They achieve a depth of experience in their field that graduates of a general MBA program cannot hope to match.

The Wisconsin MBA is about creating business experts with an instant edge. This approach has major benefits for students— and the companies who hire them.

Wisconsin MBA Approach Wins National Attention

BusinessWeek and  CNN.com are among the national media to recognize Wisconsin as a leader in the growing trend toward specialized MBA programs.  Such programs  “give students the kind of targeted, real-world experience sometimes lacking in traditional MBAs” said BusinessWeek.

“The new specialist degrees have been designed from the ground up to be directly relevant to a particular business sector or industry. One high-profile example is the MBA offerings at the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Business.”
