A transcript of this talk is available here.
Eswar Prasad, senior professor of trade policy in Cornell University's
Department of Applied Economics and Management, recently visited Madison and
spoke about the future of the Chinese and Indian economies. Prasad, who
previously worked for the IMF, said he does not foresee an imminent collapse
of either economy. He did, however, express concern about "internal
triggers" in each country that may slow their economic growth.
The event was sponsored by the Center for World Affairs and the Global
Economy (WAGE), the La Follette School of Public Affairs and the Center for
International Business Education and Research (CIBER). Co-sponsors included
