Internationalizing Doctoral Education in Business (IDEB) Conference
July 19-21, 2009 - The Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio
CIBER is willing to sponsor up to two Wisconsin School of Business Ph.D. students to attend this conference. (See below for application details.) This three-day doctoral seminar at The Ohio State University is designed to raise the level of interest and knowledge in the international dimension of business education and research among first- and second-year doctoral students. The program will focus on international business research issues, methodology, data collection, and other aspects of globalized business studies. Students will hear from experts about international research issues in all disciplines, identifying viable research topics in international business, valuable data-gathering methods, and other useful techniques in international business research. Participants will also have the opportunity to network with faculty members from sponsoring CIBERs and other doctoral students from around the country. CIBER will pay for the cost of round-trip airfare between Madison and Columbus for each selected student, upon submission of a Travel Expense Report by the student. Each participant will be responsible for the conference registration fee of $150, which includes shared lodging for the nights of July 19-20, seminar materials, and most meals during the program.
