Global Tourism Seminar in Marburg, Germany

CIBER provided partial support for a group of Madison Area Technical College (MATC) students to attend the March 2004 Global Tourism Seminar hosted by MATC’s sister college, Kathe-Kollwitz-Schule, in Marburg, Germany. The Global Tourism Seminar is an innovative program joining students from three colleges to examine best practices in marketing and customer service from an international perspective utilizing both online learning and actual joint classroom experience. MATC students also had the opportunity to attend International Tourism-Berlin, the most prestigious worldwide tourism trade show, drawing 10,000 exhibitors from 181 countries.
