Parking
Some metered and permit parking may be available in the parking ramp under Grainger Hall. The entrance for campus Lot 7 (Grainger Hall) is located on Brooks Street between University Avenue and West Johnson Street. There is also metered parking on Brooks Street.
The nearest public parking lot is located one block away at the corner of University Avenue and Lake Street. Parking may also be found under the Fluno Center for Executive Education in campus Lot 83. The entrance to the Fluno Center is located on Frances Street between University Avenue and West Johnson Street, just one block from Grainger Hall.
Registration
This event is free, but tickets are required for admission. Limited space is available.
Tickets may be picked up beginning Thursday, October 2 at the Grainger Hall Information Desk, 975 University Avenue. Hours: M-F 7:30 a.m.-7:30 p.m., Sa-Su noon-5:00 p.m. Limit one ticket per person.

Speaker Biographies
Austan Goolsbee, senior economic adviser to the Obama ’08 presidential campaign, is the Robert P. Gwinn Professor of Economics, University of Chicago Graduate School of Business. His research activities center on the Internet, tax policy and business decisions, capital investment, and government policy. He is a research associate for the National Bureau of Economic Research, and a research fellow for the American Bar Foundation.
Ike Brannon, senior policy adviser to the McCain ’08 presidential campaign, was Senior Adviser for Tax Policy at the U.S. Treasury. Previously he served Congress as the Principal Economic Adviser for Senator Orrin Hatch on the Senate Finance Committee and Chief Economist for the Joint Economic Committee. Prior to that he was Senior Economist for Information and Regulatory Affairs at the OMB and associate professor of economics at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh and Indiana University.
Mike Knetter joined the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Business as Dean in July 2002. Previously, he was associate dean of the MBA program and professor of international economics at the Amos Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College. He grew up in Rhinelander, Wisconsin, and completed his undergraduate degree in economics and mathematics at the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire. He earned his Ph.D. in economics at Stanford University. Dean Knetter has published widely in the areas of international finance and macroeconomics. Before coming to UW-Madison, he served as senior staff economist for macroeconomic analysis for the President's Council of Economic Advisors under former Presidents George H.W. Bush and Bill Clinton and was a consultant to the International Monetary Fund. He is a research associate for the National Bureau of Economic Research, a director of Wausau Paper and Great Wolf Resorts and a trustee of Neuberger Berman Funds and Northwestern Mutual Series Fund. Dean Knetter led the initiative that resulted in the recent $85 million naming gift to preserve the Wisconsin School of Business name for the next 20 years.
