Global Studies Summer Institute
Bringing the World Into the Classroom
Overview
The 2008 Global Studies Summer Institute (GSSI) will introduce some of the complex forces that constitute globalization, and examine globalization’s impacts on the economy, society, culture, and the environment. Teaching applications across curricular areas and grade levels will
be integrated throughout the program.

$95 (non-refundable) covers all sessions, materials, meals, refreshments, and lodging (optional)
The UW-Madison CIBER will support up to three K-12 educators to participate in this program. This support will include the $95 registration fee, two-to-three nights lodging (if needed), and reimbursement for mileage to and from the conference. To apply for this support, please send a resume or abbreviated CV, and a brief description of your interest in this program and how its content would benefit the courses you teach to CIBER at uwmadisonciber@bus.wisc.edu by 5 p.m. on Friday, June 27.
