MITA is adding an extra program for 2008 to address the timely issue facing practically all purchasers of Chinese products.
Jeff Anderson, vice president of OPS America, will cover the factors for rising Chinese prices and long-term cost trends. Jeff will suggest corrective measures and long-term strategies to minimize the effects.
Douglas Tucker, attorney for Quarles & Brady LLP, will detail the elements of the national China labor law instituted January 1, 2008, and why Chinese manufacturers are struggling to comply with the new regulations.

Speaker Biographies
Jeff Anderson is a partner of OPS America and travels to Asia frequently. OPS America outsources engineering and manufacturing services throughout Asia. Before OPS America Jeff served in senior-level positions at Little Rapids Corporation, a medical device and beauty business company. Jeff has many years of experience working with Asian manufacturers. He is an experienced speaker in the areas of China as an opportunity, trends in the manufacturing sector and the pitfalls to avoid with Asian outsourcing. Jeff received a B.S. degree in medical technology and an MBA from the University of Wisconsin – Madison.
Douglas Tucker is a partner at Quarles & Brady LLP in Chicago. Doug practices in the areas of securities law, M & A and general corporate matters. He has extensive experience doing business in Asia, particularly China. He has advised numerous U.S. firms on opening, operating and selling Chinese operations and overseeing relationships with Chinese law firms and other professional service organizations. He is the chair of Q&B's Securities Practice in the Chicago office and the co-chair of Q&B's China Law Group. Doug recently spoke at the Wisconsin International Trade Conference reviewing the “Top 8 Legal Issues of 2008”. He received a B.A magna cum laude from Michigan State University in international relations and foreign policy and a J.D from Northwestern University. He has been admitted to the Illinois and Wisconsin Bars.
