U.S.-China Trade Relations and the WTO
Overview
Amy Celico, deputy director of the U.S. Department of Commerce Office of the Chinese Economic Area, will discuss China's compliance with its WTO commitments and U.S.-China trade policy to expand fair market access for U.S. companies in China. Ms. Celico's office works closely with U.S. industry on its market access concerns in China, including developing capacity-building programs to assist in the training of Chinese government officials in regulatory and legislative areas related to market access for U.S. industries. Ms. Celico has recently returned from a 4-month assignment in Beijing as temporary director of the U.S. Embassy Trade Facilitation Office, where she participated in U.S.-China bilateral commercial talks (the Joint Commission on Commerce and Trade).
