The Basics of Importing: Who's Responsible for What?
Overview
So you send documents to your customs broker and after a period of time, your cargo shows up and your broker sends you a bill. What happens in between? How does it get from the boat or airline to your or your customer’s dock? Hear from a customs broker who will diagram all the players in the supply chain who touch your cargo and find out what drives the mechanism of a customs entry. Learn what happens pre- and post-entry, as well as about U.S. Customs programs both voluntary (ACE, C-TPAT) and mandatory (the upcoming Importer Security Filing).
