Navigating a Chinese Business Banquet
Building Guanxi (relationships), Doing Business, and More

Overview

Join Professor Xiaojun Wang, visiting scholar from Wuhan, China, for a presentation/discussion on how to conduct business in China. During the presentation, you will learn how to:

-Strengthen relationships with your Chinese business partners
-Distinguish variations among China’s ethnic regions and learn the importance of adjusting your manners to meet expectations in different cities
-Learn the art of greeting and exchanging business cards and gifts “the Chinese way”

Following the presentation, Professor Wang will walk you through the details of a business banquet – seating arrangements, eating different foods using chopsticks, returning toasts.
