Susan Huber Miller

Ms. Huber Miller is responsible for the overall conceptualization, management, budgeting and evaluation of CIBER programs. She also develops and co-leads international study tours for faculty and students. Most recently, she co-led 22 faculty to Vietnam in January 2009 and 46 executive MBA students to Thailand and Vietnam in March 2009. She periodically serves as a grant reviewer/evaluator to select institutional grantees for the Business in International Education Program through the U.S. Department of Education. She also serves as the departmental team leader for federal funding proposal submissions.
She has held various leadership positions on the Executive Board for the Madison International Trade Association (MITA), including president and vice president. In May 2004, she was appointed by Governor Jim Doyle to serve on the Wisconsin International Trade Council (WITCO) and continues that appointment today. The council was created to advise the governor and the secretaries for the Department of Commerce and the Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection on the state’s role in the development of international trade.
Prior to her position with CIBER, Ms. Huber Miller worked for Cargill, Inc., in Geneva, Switzerland, and in central Indiana in the commodities division. Previously, she spent five years working for the Wisconsin Alumni Association (WAA) in a variety of different capacities with most recent responsibilities in the area of international student and alumni program development.
Ms. Huber Miller holds a bachelor’s degree in international relations and a master’s degree in higher educational administration with a focus on international and comparative education – both from UW-Madison.
