Randall B. Dunham

Randall B. Dunham holds the Keenan A. Bennett Chair of Management at the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Business. He also serves as the faculty director of the UW CIBER. In addition to organizational behavior, he has taught management, data analysis, compensation, research methods, and personnel staffing. Dunham has taught in the undergraduate, masters program, Ph. D., and Executive MBA programs. He received the Larson Excellence in Teaching Award, the Robert A. Jerred Distinguished Service Award from the School of Business and the William J. Nasgovitz Award for Outstanding Teaching and Innovation.
With the School of Business, Dunham has served as associate dean of graduate programs, senior associate dean, and director of the executive MBA program, and has chaired several curriculum committees. He is a fellow of the American Psychological Association and the American Psychological Society and is a charter member of the Academy of Management Journals Hall of Fame.
Dunham has instructed faculty from 25 countries on effective teaching strategies as part of the International Teachers Program, and chaired the UW-Madison Global Competence Task Force. He has served as faculty leader for Executive MBA study tours to China, Vietnam, and Thailand, and co-organized a Faculty Development in International Business program in Vietnam. In 2010, he will teach an undergraduate seminar that will conclude with a field study of Vietnam.
Dunham’s research was twice selected by the Society of Human Resource Management as best personnel research of the year. Areas of expertise include organizational change and management issues in cross cultural boundaries, distance education, human resource management and organizational behavior. Dunham’s publications include six books and award-winning interactive multimedia software on motivation in organizations. He has provided management consulting and executive development services to a wide range of business organizations. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Illinois.
