Since 2001, CIBER has partnered with the UW-Madison Center for World Affairs and the Global Economy (WAGE), a research center that brings together scholars from economics, political science, public policy, sociology, business, law and other fields to study contemporary processes of globalization and international economic integration. The primary emphasis of the CIBER-WAGE partnership is to enhance the two Centers' ability to bring topics related to international business practices, global economic conditions, and the impact of international economic and business development on the economies of Wisconsin and the Midwest to Wisconsin business and government audiences and the public. By making available a wide range of timely public events and information featuring international experts, prominent business leaders, and UW-Madison faculty, these CIBER-WAGE outreach activities contribute to the Centers' goal of strengthening the international competitiveness of Wisconsin businesses.
