Product management is at the center of defining what a med/tech company delivers to its clinical customers and ultimately, the patient. This includes the exploration of unmet clinical needs, concept and market assessment, product definition, reimbursement to hospitals and MDs for new therapies, and developing the communication tools for introducing new products to the clinical customer. Product management is the major conduit between the company, its sales and clinical field teams and the implanting physician. It establishes and maintains key working relationships with thought leader MDs across multiple tech and therapy areas.

In this field, product management is the combination of tech + healthcare economics + clinical support + research for future new therapies and new product solutions. The product management group drives new product development and the services that are delivered to the clinical customer.

The UW's Center for Brand and Product Management will provide you with the 'tool kit' that you will use to work in the very complex environment that product managers - and ultimately, general managers - work in every day.
