Interview Breakers

Here are some reasons why students were rejected:

• Failed to look interviewer in the eye
• Poor personal appearance

• Not prepared, no research on the employer
• No real interest in the organization
• Narrowed location interest, unwilling to relocate
• No interest and enthusiasm, bland personality
• Overbearing, overaggressive, and conceited
• Interested only in the best dollar offer
• Asked no or poor questions about the job
• Unwilling to start at the bottom, expects too much, and has unrealistic expectations
• Made excuses, evasive, and hedges; no confidence or poise, immature
• Lacked proper career planning, no goals
• Did not read the job description and was unaware of the position the company was hiring for.
