Making Your Selections
All students will have "pending" as their default status. You may make one of the following selections for each candidate:
- Invited - Invite the student to interview and enable them to sign up for a time slot. Recommended: Invite as many students as there are time slots (see Details column in student Applicant list for filled/available slot ratio)
- Alternate - Invite the student to interview and enable them to sign up for
a time slot a few days after the "invited" students begin signing up.
- Recommended: In case some accepted students do not sign up, you may wish to select some alternates
- Not Invited - Decline student for interview.
- Note: All students that have preselected meet your basic screening criteria. Therefore, if you have an open period associated with your schedule, non-invited students can sign up for interviews during that period but only if the invited and alternates have not filled all of the interview slots.
- Selections can be made from several locations:
- From the Status column in the applicant's list, select the new status from the dropdown menu
- Click on the student's name and make selection from the profile and position overview page. If you wish to assign a student to a particular schedule date, you must use this selection option. Click "submit" to save your changes
- All students will be able to log in and view their application status after your selection period. Students who have been given invited and alternate status will also be sent an automated e-mail notification at that time. If you wish to communicate additional information to students, see E-mail Students instructions below.
