Judy Cary - Director
With a Master Degree in Education, UW-Madison, Judy works with the Business Learning Center staff on how to best help the students excel in their courses. The students are very appreciative of the assistance they receive from BLC staff.

Shelby Eckenrod - Administrative Assistant
Shelby is a fourth year PEOPLE scholar, planning to graduate from the School of Business, majoring in Accounting and International Business. Shelby studied abroad in Germany for spring 2008.

Taylor Walls - Administrative Assistant
Taylor is a second year Chancellor Scholar and PEOPLE scholar. Her long term goal is an accounting degree. This past summer, Taylor interned at the Milwaukee Deloitte office in the shared services department. She will be returning to Deloitte in the summer of 2009 to intern in the marketing and human resources departments.

Jason Benedict - Accounting 100
Jason is a graduate student in the Masters of Accountancy program. He will begin his professional career in the fall of 2009 with KPMG in Minneapolis. In his spare time, Jason enjoys traveling and cooking. He is preparing to take CPA exam after graduation in May.

Philip Berndt - Accounting 100
Phil is a graduate student in his 5th year in the Masters of Accountancy Program. He is originally from Rice Lake, WI. He will begin his public accounting employment at Wipfli in Madison after he finishes his education. He enjoys playing golf and watching the Packers, Brewers and Badgers in his free time.

Preeti Bhargava - Microeconomics 101
Preeti is a second year MBA student in the Nicholas Center for Corporate Finance and Investment Banking. She has an undergraduate and a graduate degree in Economics from the Delhi University, India. Before returning to school, she worked as a financial analyst for Copal Partner, an investment banking financial consultation and research firm based in London.

Woo Hyun Chang - Microeconomics 101
Woo Chang is a Ph.D. candidate in Economics whose fields of interests are Industrial Organization, Applied Microeconomics and Applied Econometrics. He received his undergraduate degree in Economics at Seoul National University and worked for Towers Perrin-Tillinghast before he joined the Ph.D. Program at University of Wisconsin-Madison. After having years of experience as a TA, Head TA for Econ 101 and an instructor for Econ 310, he is looking forward to helping Econ 101 students at Business Learning Center.

Som Daripa - Finite Math 210
My name is Som Daripa and I am a second year MBA student, specializing in supply chain management. Prior to this, I worked in IT consulting in various locations across India and US. I am passionate about movies, cricket and like to travel a lot.

Nathan Henderson - Finance 300
Nathan Henderson is a 2nd year MBA student in the Applied Security Analysis Program. During the summer he interned as an Equity Research Analyst at INVESCO AIM in Houston, TX. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his wife and playing golf.

Chris Luckmann - Accounting 100
Chris is a graduate student in the Masters of Accountancy program. After graduating next May, he plans on taking the CPA exams and will start working for Virchow Krause in Madison. He hopes to get back to Minnesota in a couple years to be closer to family. In his spare time, he enjoys playing and watching sports. He also loves spending time at his family's cabin in Three Lakes, WI.

Jessica Molnar - Accounting 211
Jessica has a BBA from the University of Wisconsin in Accounting and International Business, and is currently pursuing her Masters of Accountancy through the University's 5-year program. She is originally from Oak Lawn, IL, and will start her career with KPMG in Chicago in the fall of 2009. She enjoys travelling, cooking, music, and film.

Holly Nierengarten - Accounting 100
Holly is a graduate student in the Masters of Accountancy (MAcc) program. She will begin her career in public accounting with PricewaterhouseCoopers in Minneapolis in the fall of 2009. She enjoys going to Badger hockey games, reading, golfing, and seeing movies in her spare time.

Joe Raffiee-Shirazi - Microeconomics 101
Joe is a first year MBA student in the Weinert Center for Entrepreneurship. He is originally from Southern California and has a Bachelors Degree in Economics and Management. Joe will be working with students in Microeconomics 101.

Francesca Rondina - Macroeconomics 102
Francesca is a PhD candidate in Economics whose research focuses on Macroeconomics and Monetary Policy. She has experience as teaching assistant in Econ 102 and as lecturer in Econometrics. Francesca will be working with Macroeconomics 102 students.

Harry "Chip" Seidel
Harry received a BA in economics from Grinnell College in 2005. After graduation he spent 3 years in Washington, DC working for an executive search firm eventually achieving the title, Manager of Staffing Services. Harry is currently a first-year MBA student specializing in Entrepreneurial Management and supports Economics 102 through the BLC.

Ryan Strean - Accounting 211
Ryan is a graduate student in the Masters of Accountancy program. He will be taking a position as an audit associate with PricewaterhouseCoopers in Minneapolis in the fall of 2009. In his free time, Ryan enjoys working out, playing volleyball and tennis, and watching football and basketball.

Brian Tripp - Accounting 100 and 300
Born and raised in Plymouth, Minnesota and now 5th year student in the Masters of Accountancy Program, Brian will begin working at Ernst & Young in the summer of 2009 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He enjoys basketball and golfing in his free time.

Rahul Upadhyaya - Accounting 100
Rahul Upadhyaya is a fifth year Accounting student in the Masters of Accountancy (MAcc) Program. Originally from Roseville, MN, Rahul enjoys playing and watching sports, especially baseball and football. Rahul plans to begin his career working for Ernst & Young in Chicago starting in October of 2009.

Charan Varadan - Finite Math 210
Charan is a graduate student in the Quantitative Masters in Finance (QMF) program and will graduate in December 2008. He is from Chennai, India and earned a degree in Computer Science before coming to UW-Madison. He will be working with Math 210 students this fall. His interests include sports, listening to music and traveling.

Yu Wen - Business Stats 303
Yu Wen is a first year graduate student in Actuarial Science program. Yu has a Master degree in Economics and is looking to start his career as an actuary. He has a wide range of interests: soccer, tennis, squash and computer games. He is very proud that he translated a book when he was in college

Ziyan Xie - Math 210
Ziyan is a second year master student in Actuarial Science Program. She worked as a project assistant during the summer 2008 helping with editing the textbook for AS 654 and creating solutions for it. She will be working with Math 210 students during 2008 fall semester.
