Actuarial Science Endowed Funds

James C. (Jim) Hickman
Hickman/Larson Chair in Actuarial Science
In 1991, the Hickman/Larson Chair in Actuarial Science was created to honor the actuarial science program’s first coordinator, Bob Larson, as well as our former business school dean, Jim Hickman. Interest earnings from this fund are spent by the designated faculty to support his or her scholarly activities.
The fund has not yet spent significant funds. Professor Hickman was named the initial appointee and Virginia Young held the Hickman/Larson Chair from 2000 until her departure in 2003.
Please see the actuarial science solicitation letter for information on the Hickman/Larson Chair in Actuarial Science, and for your convenience you can print out and mail the donation form or follow this link to make a contribution to the Hickman/Larson Chair in Actuarial Science online.
