Matriculation in the doctoral program in risk management and insurance attests to my ongoing commitment to advance and diversify my education (currently I hold a B.S. in mathematics and M.S. in finance-with honors) in order to be resourceful to others. I am extremely gratified with the prospect of impacting both the academic and corporate sectors, through research and teaching.

I am currently pursuing research on pensions-investigating potential adverse selection in pension payout selection, and examining how laws, prohibiting gender discrimination in pension calculations and design, might impact employers' decisions. In addition, I anticipate studying how consumers' biases might influence employers' decisions on wage offerings to potential employees, particularly when fringe benefits (i.e., pension plans) are considered.
