Risk Management and Insurance MBA Candidates, Class of 2008

Ben Permut Ben entered the MBA program as part of a career transition into the insurance industry. He has a background in actuarial science and statistics and looks to apply these skills to a new career. Ben has a diverse work background which includes experience in specialty food distribution, radio programming, and operations management. He has an undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan, and is also a graduate of the California Culinary Academy. |

Anne Rappold Anne obtained her Juris Doctor degree in 2000 from Louisiana State University. She practiced law in New Orleans, Louisiana for a large insurance defense firm, Deutsch, Kerrigan and Stiles, LLP, for over four years. She litigated primarily in the areas of professional liability,
product liability, employment law, construction law, insurance coverage,
automobile liability and real estate, developing an expertise in Sarbanes-Oxley
effects on corporate attorneys. Anne is interested in pursuing a career as a risk |

Pat Treetipbut Pat graduated from UW-Madison with a BBA, double majoring in Finance and Economics with an emphasis in math. Prior to attending the MBA program, Pat worked for Mercer HR Consulting, Inc, a subsidiary of Marsh and McLennan Companies, as their actuarial analyst in the pension practice for over 4 years. After that, she worked at AXA life insurance in Bangkok, Thailand as part of its actuarial team. She has passed 4 SOA actuarial exams, and is pursuing her FSA. Pat is interested in an actuarial position in the risk management area in the life insurance industry. |
