What requirements are necessary to apply for MS in actuarial science program?

The minimum admissions requirements for MS in actuarial science program are:
- A bachelor's degree;
- A Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT) or Graduate Records Examination (GRE) score;
- A Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score for applicants whose native language is not English ;

Do I need to take the subject GRE for Math & Stats?

The subject GRE test in Math is not required for the application although we prefer applicants to have strong background in mathematics and statistics.

What GPA is required for acceptance?

We do not have a minimum requirement for GPA. 

My TOEFL has expired. But as I've studied in USA for 2 years as a graduate student, can I waive the TOEFL exam?

What are the prerequisite for the graduate program in actuarial science?

Students applying for the master's business program are required to have completed the equivalent one semester of calculus, statistics and macroeconomics. Within actuarial science, we also require applicants to take matrix and linear algebra and two additional calculus courses. All master's students must possess knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software.

Can I be admitted without enough prerequisite courses?

Yes, the completion of prerequisites is not a requirement for admission. See the Graduate Program Office's Admission Process site for more details.

Do I need work experience to attend this grad program?

Work experience is encouraged but not required for apply for the MS program in Actuarial Science.
